Jetsetter. Celebrity Trainspotter. TV host. Party starter. All in a days work for Tyson O’Brien, the DJ and producer better known as Generik who’s converted a lifestyle of good music & good times into a grassroots following the size of an small army!

Fast-talking, freewheeling and with his debut Chart Topping Radio Hit single ‘The Weekend’ already a sleazy party staple, Generik embodies the fresh-faced spirit of Dance Music. Plucked from the backroom club parties of Australia by Calvin Harris, Generik has since sweated it out on stages across the globe, every major festival across Australia and has been championed by the likes of Diplo and Skrillex for his party-starting ways!

Having just finished an Australian national tour supporting his Ministry Of Sound Sessions DJ mix compilation (#1 album on Australian iTunes), Generik is also the new face of Dance Music on the Australasian cable music television network Channel [V], filming his backstage antics and hosting live DJ sets on his own show, Messed Up.

The later part of 2015 sees Generik kick things up a notch, with a string of high profile North American appearances including main stage appearance at LA’s HARD Summer and supports for Calvin Harris’s Las Vegas shows including Hakassan, Omnia and Wet Republic and touring Australia nationally on the main stage for Australia’s Biggest Music Festival Stereosonic which he has been a staple since its inception.
