HOST is the musical duo consisting of Ben Leverock-Esser and Tommy. The duo met in East London in 2014, via a mutual friend who thought that the two of them would connect musically, both being fans of the likes of New Order, Talking Heads and seminal house producers like Marshall Jefferson and Phuture. From their early writing sessions came the debut single “All Night Every Night / State Of Your Soul”. Following remixes for Aurora, Solomon Grey & Fyfe, the debut single was released in April 2016 by LA based label B3SCI Records (Jungle, Aquilo, Oceaan). The self-produced single was mixed by Steve Dub of The Chemical Brothers and featured vocals from both Ben and Tommy.

In early 2016 Ben then moved to Berlin providing a second base for HOST who now record at studios in both Berlin and London. Despite their separate geographical locations Tommy & Ben Leverock-Esser’s musical bond has never been greater allowing their respective Berlin and London surroundings to weave their way into their already unique harmony-led, live electronic sound. HOST’s debut live show was at London’s XOYO in June 2016 further showcasing their intention to write and perform classic house influenced songs ready for the dancefloor.

The anticipated follow up to their debut single the “I Wanna Be Your Friend EP” was released in November 2016 gaining widespread support in both the club and at radio especially BBC Radio including Monki, Mary Anne Hobbs, Nemone and Annie Nightingale.

Tommy and Ben continue to work with Steve Dub as well as with dance producer Alex Metric on their debut LP set for release in Summer 2017.
