The bands single prior to Sacred Ground, Howling, along with it’s remix by Âme collectively have over 4 mil views on Youtube, with Sam Smith’s Radio 1 Live Lounge cover of Ry X’s Berlin receiving over 1 mil views.
The first single from Sacred Ground, Signs was announced with a new video directed by Ry X and Constantin Demner via Nowness. This announcement was covered extensively, including articles from; Resident Advisor, Billboard (US), Music Week, Mixmag, Faze (DE) and Spex (DE). Signs has since been streamed over 332k times. Signs was premiered on Gilles Peterson’s BBC 6 Music show, followed by huge support for the single and remixes from BBC Radio 1’s B-Traits, Huw Stephens and Phil Tagart, as well as DJs across BBC 6 Music, XFM and Capital Xtra.
The remix EP for Signs received high profile premieres upon release, resulting in great digital stats including 140k streams for the Rødhåd remix and inclusion in Tale Of Us’ BBC radio 1 Essential Mix. Boiler Room premiered the track Signs (Radioslave & Thomas Gandey Remix) through their Boiler Room Debuts Soundcloud page, as well as promoting the upload across their channels, racking up 55k streams. The MATOM remix was available to stream as a Beatport exclusive across their channels. Stole The Night was premiered via Resident Advisor, with the track accruing over 78K plays on SoundCloud. The video, directed by Ry X and Dugan O’Neal, premiered on MTV, who supported the video across all international channels, followed by hosting on Vevo.
Stole The Night received it’s radio premiere on Huw Stephens Radio 1 show, with B-Traits (sitting in for Annie Mac) premiering Midland’s Stole The Night remix, which also received a play on George Fitzgerald’s BBC Radio 1 residency. XLR8R premiered Âme’s remix of Stole the Night, with the track accumulating over 40k streams in its first 2 days. The Midland remix of Stole The Night was premiered via Mixmag, being hosted on their Soundcloud channel and amassing 20k streams in the first 24 hours.
Howling will curate a Boiler Room session live from Berlin this May. They also feature in legendary Resident Advisors RA Sessions, broadcast April 27th. A recent live performance and interview on Electronic Beats has amassed over 120k Youtube streams, with another session being featured imminently on US outlet Lady Gunn. Howling will add to B-Traits ‘Mixfluence’ BBC Radio 1 mix series on the April 27th April. The band will also perform a live session on key tastemaker Gilles Peterson’s BBC 6 Music show in May. Both Signs and Stole The Night remix EPs have received strong club support from the likes of Felix Da Housecat, Marcel Dettmann, Maceo Plex, Damian Lazarus, Erol Alkan, Will Saul, Visionquest, Locked Groove, Catz and Dogz, Sebo K, Dubfire, Adam Bayer, Tiga and James Zabiela and many more.
Howling have announced a European tour supporting the album with headline shows at London’s Oval Space and Amsterdam’s Paradiso, as well as festival dates at Lovebox, Latitude, Lowlands, Melt!, Pukkelpop & Berlin Festival. Howling previously sold out Oval Space on their last visit.
