James Crooks

The music career of James Crooks kicked off in the passenger seat of his father’s car, drumming along with his hands on the dash to the likes of Fleetwood Mac, Phil Collins, and INXS. From there he developed his love for music and taught himself to play guitar, bass, drums and keys by the age of 17. Crooks also developed a love for hip-hop music and DJ’ing – collaborating and performing with local artists in his home town of Newcastle.

However, with sights set much higher, James Crooks has since gone on to produce, record, and tour under various monikers with some of the most accomplished in the industry including Rufus, Bliss ‘n Eso, Chance Waters, and Paul Conrad.

2015 saw James Crooks release his debut single ‘Naturally’ which features the beautifully haunting vocals of Paige IV (‘LDRU Keeping Score’) and spiked interest from major and independent record labels and publishers globally.

In 2016 James Crooks signed a label and publishing deal with Liberation / Mushroom and is scheduled to release his Debut EP in the later months of 2016.
