Karl Broadie

Karl Broadie is one of Australia’s most original and expressive songwriters. His delicately crafted songs about small moments and universal emotions can be found not only on his own albums but on many other artist’s albums too.

Karl’s albums, Nowhere Now Here, Black Crow Callin’, One Million Emeralds, Branches and One Constellation, have seen him build a strong reputation as a perceptive and talented singer/songwriter. He has supported Patty Griffin on a national tour and has visited LA, Austin & Nashville, USA on songwriting trips. Karl has performed at festivals as varied as Port Fairy, Queenscliff, Apollo Bay, Blue Mountains, The Edinburgh and Tartan Heart Festivals in Scotland (Karl’s Homeland), Gympie Muster and the January event which has become a second home for Karl, Tamworth Country Music Festival.

In 2005 Karl won the prestigious ISC Americana category and has since been nominated for numerous golden guitars.
