Myles Mayo

Myles Mayo was born and raised in Adelaide, South Australia. He started writing and recording music in his early teenage years.

He has played in a number of bands but has recently started recording, producing and releasing music under his own name.

His first single as a solo artist, “How you done me Wrong”, from his debut solo album was selected as ITunes Single of the Week in Australia, it spent 2011/12 on high rotation at many national and local radio stations around Australia. He signed a three album deal with Mushroom Publishing. In 2011/2012 he also toured to every corner of the country several times with his band, and shared the stage with artists such as Micah P Hinson (USA), Eskimo Joe, The Cat Empire, Tim Rogers, Clare Bowditch and loads of others.

His main history before this was with a band called Special Patrol. He wrote the songs, played guitar and sang for this band. They recorded three full length albums and a number of EPs and singles.

Special Patrol toured Australia over a period of six years and played many of the great Australian festivals and venues. Touring highlights include Falls Festival main stage 2006 and 2008, Big Day Out, Clipsal 500 After Race Concert with Powderfinger, Woodford Festival as well as tours and/or shows with Ben Kweller (USA), Paul Weller (UK), The Mountain Goats (USA), Maximo Park (UK), The Bees (UK), Idlewild (UK), Turin Brakes (UK), Donovan Frankenreiter (USA), Evermore (NZ), Paul Kelly, The Whitlam’s, Pete Murray, The Church, Little Birdy
